CASE STRATEGY:
Henry - IRA Rollover to Benefit Charity During 2006 and 2007

Feature Image 214x150

Sam Henry was facing a required minimum distribution from his IRA which would increase his income taxes from Social Security and hurt his chance of deducting his medical expenses. Through the recent passage of the Pension Protection Act of 2006, Sam has found a solution through the Charitable IRA Rollover. The permissible rollover recipient will be a Restricted Fund at the Renaissance Charitable Foundation. From the Restricted Fund, Sam will be able to ensure the library will receive annual grants while not having to recognize income from his IRA.
